Balinese
Dance: Bali is famous for its elaborate dance performances and
enchanting gamalan music. There are numerous performances throughout
the island. Your stay at Villa Gajah Putih includes a complimentary
private performance of a superb Balinese dance troupe of approximately
40 to 50 highly skilled dancers and musicians. The performance
is at the villa and our manager will plan an evening dinner
party along with the dance for you at your request.
City
of Ubud: A great day trip into the mountains (about 1-1/2 hours).
Ubud is famous for its artisans who craft exquisite carvings,
art and paintings. Batik sarongs, clothes and jewelry are also
available at very reasonable prices and it's a great place to
do shopping for gifts and artwork to take home.
Religious
holidays, pageants, celebrations, funerals: Bali has a fascinating
culture which is interwoven with extensive Hindu festivities,
pageants and rituals. Our manager will advise you of the locations
of current activities which vary depending on the season. Also
recommend are visits to some of the fine old hindu temples and
museums on the island.
Gitgit
& Blahmantung waterfalls: beautiful scenic places for a day
trip & hike. Ask your driver/guide about the mythology associated
with them before venturing out!.
Excursions
are available for daytime and moonlight river rafting (depending
on season). Jungle tours also available.
Bali
Bird and Reptile Park: Excellent day-trip for both children
and adults.
Experience
sitting high a top an elephant in a teak wood chair, riding
through the cool jungle of Taro.
Gunung
Agung volcano (or others): involves a drive through beautiful
rice terraces into the mountains of Bali. A buffet lunch is
available at the volcano.
Thalasso
baths: A luxury beauty spa in Denpasar for women where they
provide special beauty treatments, massages and a garden bath
with flower petals.
Sulfur
Baths: In the mountains, Buddhist monks run an unusual spa where
ancient stone gargoyles spill out into cascading tiers of baths
used for bathing or medicinal reasons.
Diving
and snorkeling: Day trips are abundant on Bali. Our own luxury
catamaran is sometimes available for trips to ping areas and
coral reefs.

is suitable for certain types of fishing.

at all courses.
Jimbaron
Bay: A picturesque place to dine on fresh seafood and shellfish
prepared by Balinese cooks on outdoor charbroilers at the beach
